Selective Law Enforcement: 2 Border Patrol Officers Jailed While Drug Smuggler Collects

I've often wondered: does the government still have the seriousness to rule?  It appears not.  When border patrol agents are convicted for defending themselves in the line of duty, what message does that send to illegals crossing the border?  What message does it send to other border patrol agents?

It's starting to become obvious that the government as no intention of trying to enforce our borders, and therefore no intention of preserving the republic.  We're clearly in a stage of our nationhood where we're expected to submit to the arbitrary will of our politicians, not to the rule of law.  Francis Schaeffer, the famous Christian theologian and apologist, predicted this would happen roughly 30 years ago.  Looks like he was right.  How long are citizens going to live with the illusion of personal peace and prosperity at the expense of their rights and freedom?  If the law is only selectively applied, you have no rights, no freedom, and personal peace is circling the drain.
