Race and Culture
Vanishing American has an important post discussing race and culture, specifically as they relate to the idea of 'culturism' floating around the blogosphere. The comments are insightful as well.
One of the problems I have with 'culturism' as it relates to the US is that regardless of whether or not it has anything to do with race, it will be whites attempting to impose a majority American culture on everyone else. The blacks have been in this country a long time and still have their own increasingly divergent culture. Mexicans do as well. Any attempts to get blacks and Mexicans, along with the myriad other groups, to conform to the majority American culture handed down from European settlers and founders will be met with charges of racism, regardless of whether or not it's true. The other problem with culturism is that it's already too late for it. Half of the children under 5 at this point are already non-white, and we haven't even passed the next amnesty bill yet. Once we do, whites will become a minority very quickly. How will white Americans impose their culture then? How can they do it in the southwest even now? Just look at Los Angeles: half the people speak Spanish at home, and less than one child in six in the LAUSD is white. How are we going to teach them our culture, especially when their crime rates are high enough that no one white wants to live in their neighborhoods and deal with their racist gangs? I think the idea of 'culturism' can only work when the number of immigrants is low. As the NYT finally reported, the number of immigrants in this country is at record levels, and that's assuming the government's low-ball estimate of the number of illegals is true.
History is replete with examples of one race of peoples invading the territory of another. That's what illegal immigration is: an invasion. How are we supposed to impose our culture on hostile invaders that believe theirs is superior? In the end, I don't think there's a proxy for race. 'Culturism' just can't work with the situation as it is now. It might work if we interpret the 14th ammendment properly and deport all the illegals now, but there seems to be little political will to do so, despite the screams of the American people. The politicians are just biding their time until Americans become an ignorable minority in their own country so that they don't have to worry about what we want.

What really cinches it is the narrator’s inflection on “raping kids.” Second verse, same as the first. Instead of focusing on jobs and benefits, he turns the issue into a hamfisted “red scare”-era newsreel about barbarians coming to burn and/or pillage America. Those victims’ photos didn’t come from nowhere; as much as the left may pretend otherwise, gang violence is a component of having open borders. But it’s only a component, and the more he tries to inflate it the more sensationalistic and less convincing it becomes.I dunno. From my own experiences, Tancredo's ad is pretty damn convincing. Notice how the blogger fails to deal with the substance of Tancredo's ad, he merely addresses the style, just like the Left. The commentors are already screaming racism, though the few thoughtful ones that remain are sticking up for him. Modern 'conservatism' is nothing more than cowardice dressed up as moral superiority. 7. IA 8 steals the Social Security identity of a genuine U.S. citizen, who now has to deal with the unpaid taxes on the job he didn’t have
8. IAs (unknown exact number – guess between 4&8) bring women into the U.S. illegally and force them into prostitution and porn video production. They are forced to remain slaves by beatings and threats to send the videos to their home townspeople
9. IAs (several – still not sure how many) find a member of a rival gang at a home-invasion armed robbery, abduct him, and take turns stabbing him to death, eventually severing his headAnd all of this in a wealthy, suburban “bedroom community.”
Yes, I know that all kinds of people are capable of doing these things. But what if these perpetrators weren’t here. These things wouldn’t have happened. I’ll bet all of these victims and their families wouldn’t have minded a bit.
Help me to understand the “up” side to illegal immigration. I can’t name one, and I have tried.

Mass deportations very soon are our only hope. If we do not do this, as an intact nation the USA is finished. It will be balkanized and white folk will wind up in some much reduced segment of what is not the USA. This is not a popular idea (yet), but it has to become one soon if the US is to survive; there simply is no other way.
Many of these savages we're importing from south of the border are as bad as who we're fighting overseas. Why should we give them anything but eviction? The more time that passes, the more I'm convinced the government is simply using them to terrorize us. I just don't see white people maintaining this colorblindness that's expected of them indefinitely. How can they when the differences in crime and thuggery are so obvious? Given the rate of flux of these people into our society and the crime they bring, the pendulum can only swing so far. 'Colorblindness' is fashionable now amongst whites, but it's only a fashion.
the problem with Tancredo is political not substance, which comes down to the 'style' of it. If I was to support a fringe candidate with no shot, it would definitely be him....however the problem is he would get creamed, the 'paranoid' and 'racist', etc. labels would be placed all over him and repubs. in general by the MSM and Dems.
I'm not wild about allahpundit, but he usually blogs from a 'political point of view' rather than substance on stuff like this.
its not 'color blindness' its 'culture blindness'....Christianity needs to expand asap or we will head into a new dark ages, and it will not be the govt's fault. Govt. will just reflect it.

The particular brand of Christianity spreading in Africa is Pentacostolism, for the most part. I don't think it's going to produce the cultural changes jp is looking for. I also don't see Reformed confessionalism taking root there either.
And yet, somehow, the coming burrito apocalypse isn't what worries me. What worries me is the folks we know to be violent sneaking a biological agent or dirty bomb over a border practically any sufficiently determined soul can cross undetected.
But since we're going there, let's assume it truly is as bad as PR, Fjordman, and others have made it out to be.
Does anyone really see mass deportations happening outside of some sort of dramatic event? What about some sense of unity or cultural brotherhood amongst the many, many modern tribes of white folk? Frankly, I don't think so. If this is a war between races of men, we've already lost. We're not unified, and even if we were, we're simply not breeding fast enough or acting in even a vaguely tactical fashion.
For what it's worth, given the Godless materialism, obsession with sex, and unwillingness to accept things like responsibility and objective truth rampant in white culture (evidenced through the entertainment we find popular) I'm not sure it's even worth fighting for.
White people have done some awesome things, and we can be pretty smart, but we're not the apex of all things awesome. So if a colorblind egalitarian society isn't possible, then I'm not sure it's a good idea to tie your future to things like White Nationalism. But that's just the pragmatist in me talking.
