Amidst all of the din about "racism" against blacks in Jena, LA, I did manage to find a couple of links that adequately explain the situation.  Since notorious race pimps and antisemites Al "Hymietown" Sharpton and Jesse Jackson decided to weigh in on the side of the Jena six, one can be assured that taking the exact opposite position is the morally correct thing to do.  As in many other cases, the black defendants in this one are facing stiff sentences because of prior criminal history.  Even the media in this case was careful to avoid the issue, until "civil rights leaders" Jackson and Sharpton arrived on the scene.  As near as I can tell, 2nd degree attempted murder was an appropriate charge for the Jena six.  Had someone not intervened, these savages likely would have succeeded in killing their white victim, whom they attacked from behind in gangster fashion.  Much has been made of the fact that the victim appeared at a ring dance later that evening, so the charges didn't fit.  This is logically equivalent to saying, "I was shot at, but the guy missed or only grazed me, therefore he shouldn't face attempted murder."  Anyways, have at it:
