Good Discussion on Inerrancy at GOV
In response to a recent article in the W$J about destroyed photographic evidence of Qur'anic manuscripts, Dymphna has challenged the idea that the Qur'an is the inerrant word of God. Obviously, Christians hold that the Bible alone is the Word of God, but in so doing, Dymphna also called into question the inerrancy of the Bible. It's a good discussion, for those so inclined.

PR,
In your post on GoV you made a statement that Canaan was a type of hvn. It better fits a type of the Christian life where the battle is for territory against an entrenched enemy. 'Canaan' is the example of the saved battling the flesh. The typology doesn't fit hvn. If we are going to have to fight tooth and nail in hvn, I'm a little reluctant to go. If my battle is here and my rest there, the situation changes.
yes, but read the promises made to Israel: after the conquest (the day of judgment), Israel was to rest from all their troubles, the Lord was to be their shield and protector, they were to enjoy vines they did not plant and fields they did not cultivate. And they did, until they failed to drive out the Canaanites completely and began to follow Baal and Asherah.
