I enjoyed hearing my ex-squid friend tell the story of the one black guy who could swim taking all the swimming verifications for the black guys who couldn't.
When I asked him what happened if the guys life-or-death needed to swim, he just shrugged.

I used to lifeguard at Huntington Beach. Black people cannot swim. There are rare exceptions, of course. The captain of our department was black. But the exceptions prove the rule. Did you here about all of the drownings on Long Island recently? The victims were all black. Getting out of rip currents is so easy it's ridiculous. Take 5 strong strokes parallel to the beach and you're out.

I don't think it's a genetic issue, at least not totally. Nevertheless, they can't swim.

I have many Black friends who can swim...and swim well...and who probably do not find humor or any value in your comments on this post.

Well, if they come after me, I'll just jump in the water and swim away from them.
